Asking a teacher
You asked a teacher whether you can change groups. They are thinking and have not answered.

What could you do?
Three things you could say. None of them is the one right answer; each note says why it fits the moment, or why it may not.
Wait. Count to five in your head.
A strong fit
They are considering it. Silence is a good sign here.
Say: "I can come back later if you need to think."
Also works here
Gives them space and a way out. Say it once.
Take the silence as a no and walk off.
Worth a second look
A pause is not a no. Waiting gets you the actual answer.
What people here usually expect
- Teachers pause before saying yes to changes. It usually means they are working out how.
- Three to five seconds of silence is normal and feels longer than it is.
- You can look somewhere else while you wait.
Your words
Write what you would tell yourself while a teacher is thinking.
In the app you write one line here and it lands in your lines. Nothing is graded.
The move this moment practises: Leave some space.
