Real conversations, practised before they happen.
A job interview
Start with one thing you want to ask for or say. You do not have to memorise a script.

What might happen
A possible sequence—not a promise about another person.
- Check the time, location or video link, and who you will meet.
- They may introduce the role and ask about your experience. You can ask for one question at a time.
- You can describe one example of something you have done. You can use notes and ask for thinking time.
- You can ask about the job and how you will hear about next steps.
Words you could use
Could you repeat the question one part at a time? I would like a moment to think.
Sensory supports
- If useful, ask about a quieter waiting place or a break before the interview.
- Choose comfortable clothing and bring sensory supports you use. Eye contact is optional.
Communication supports
- Write down one example of your work, study, volunteering, or another relevant activity.
- You can ask for a question to be repeated, explained, or written down. A request is not a guarantee it will be available.
Practise another turn
An imagined response: Of course. Can you tell me about a task you completed?
I can use one example from my experience. If I am still unsure, I can ask what kind of task they mean.
