Real conversations, practised before they happen.
A phone call
Start with one thing you want to ask for or say. You do not have to memorise a script.

What might happen
A possible sequence—not a promise about another person.
- Write who you are calling, the reason, and one thing you need to find out.
- The call may reach a person, a menu, voicemail, or no answer. You can stop and try another contact method.
- Say your reason for calling. Ask for information one part at a time and write down useful details.
- Repeat the next step to check it, then end the call.
Words you could use
Hello. I have a question. Could you give me one detail at a time while I write it down?
Sensory supports
- Choose a place where you can hear comfortably and adjust the volume.
- Use speakerphone or headphones only if comfortable and private enough for the call.
Communication supports
- Keep your opening line and questions in front of you.
- You can ask for email, text, a relay service, or another available contact method if calling does not work for you.
Practise another turn
An imagined response: Sure. What would you like to find out?
I can read my question from my notes. If I reached the wrong person, I can ask who to contact.
