When Two Friends Are Whispering
I see two friends whispering, and I wonder if it is about me.. Read it together, at your pace. Every page is written in your child's voice.
1. Sometimes I see two friends whispering. Their heads are close. Their voices are tiny.
2. A worry might pop up: "Are they whispering about me?"
3. But whispers can be about a million things.
What could the whispering be about? A surprise or a secret plan, like a birthday. Something private about their own stuff. A game or a joke between them. We do not have enough information to know. 💡 Whispers have endless possible topics. We cannot know what people are saying without more information. Most whispers are not about me at all.
4. Private talks are allowed. I have private talks too. Privacy is not the same as meanness.
5. I can walk on by and do my thing. If the worry stays big, I can talk to an adult I trust about it.
6. Later, if I want, I can just say hi.
7. Whispers start and stop all day long. My day is mine either way.
