Ending a Conversation
How to finish talking politely. Read it together, at your pace. Every page is written in your child's voice.
1. Conversations end. That is normal and okay. Nobody talks forever.
2. I can end a conversation with closing words: "I have to go now." "See you later!" "Bye!"
3. Closing words are like a soft landing for the talk. Without them, the other person might wonder where I went.
4. I want to go play, so I close the conversation.
5. Sometimes the other person ends the conversation first.
Why might they end it? They have somewhere to be. They are out of talking energy. They want to go do something. We don't know yet โ and that's okay. ๐ก All conversations end. A good ending means we can start a new one anytime.
6. After the closing words, the conversation is officially over. It had a start, a middle, and a soft landing. Nicely flown!
