Talking About What I Love
Sharing my favorite topic. Read it together, at your pace. Every page is written in your child's voice.
1. I have things I love a lot. Knowing lots about something is a strength. My favorite topics are treasures.
2. When I share my topic, I can serve it in scoops, like ice cream. One scoop, then a pause. The pause lets the other person talk too.
3. A scoop sounds like: "Did you know octopuses have three hearts?" Then I stop and see what they say.
4. I share a scoop with my friend.
5. I can watch how the sharing lands.
How might they respond to my topic? They get excited and ask questions. They listen for a bit, then change topics. They share a topic of their own. We don't know yet โ and that's okay. ๐ก My interests are wonderful. Serving them in scoops helps other people enjoy them with me.
6. When the conversation ends, my treasure topics stay mine. I shared some today, and I have endless scoops left for next time.
