A gathering where people share quiet, songs, and words. Read it together, at your pace. Every page is written in your child's voice.
1. Today my family is going to a religious service. A service is a gathering where people share songs, words, and quiet time together.
2. Services have an order. Some parts have music. Some parts have talking. Some parts are very quiet. A grown-up can tell me the order before we go.
Music might be loud with many voices or instruments. Quiet parts are very hush. The room might smell like candles or flowers.
ask for the order of parts before we gouse my headphones during loud musichold a small quiet fidgetask to sit near the back or the aisle
3. During quiet parts, people use small voices or no voices. My body can still wiggle a little โ bodies do that. If I need to move more, I can ask to step out.
4. Sometimes everyone stands up or sits down together. I can watch my grown-up and do what they do, or stay seated if standing is hard today.
5. I have choices. I can choose where we sit, near the aisle or the back. I can bring a quiet activity if that is allowed. I can ask, "How long is left?" or "What part comes next?"
6. If it is too long or too much, I can whisper to my grown-up, "I need a break." We can step out to the hallway and come back when I am ready. Many families step out โ it is normal.
7. The service ends when the leader says the last words or the last song finishes. Then people stand, chat, and sometimes share snacks. We say goodbye and go home. That is the whole visit.
In the app, your child can choose what happens next, rehearse lines out loud with Spark, and try different endings โ including hearing a kind "no" and being celebrated for respecting it. Parents can also create fully personalized stories.
