When I Make a Mistake

1. Sometimes I make a mistake. Maybe I spill something. Maybe I get an answer wrong.
2. A mistake can feel yucky inside. My face might feel hot. I might want to hide.

3. Everyone makes mistakes. Grown-ups do. Teachers do. Every single person does.
4. A mistake is not the same as being bad. A mistake means I am learning.
5. I can choose what to do next. I can take a breath. I can fix what I can fix. I can ask for help.
