Returning What I Borrowed
My friend let me borrow something, and now it is time to give it back.. Read it together, at your pace. Every page is written in your child's voice.
1. Sometimes a friend lets me borrow something. A book, a game, a toy. Borrowing means it is still theirs, and it goes back.
2. Giving it back can feel a little sad if I loved it. That feeling is okay. Returning things is how borrowing works.
3. I can pick a day to return it, so I do not forget. I can put it by my backpack the night before. I can ask a grown-up to help me remember.
4. When I return it, saying thank you feels good for both of us.
5. I can practice giving it back.
6. Once it is back in their hands, the borrowing is finished. My friend knows I take care of their things, and that feels good.
