Saying Goodbye
Ending a visit with a friend. Read it together, at your pace. Every page is written in your child's voice.
1. When a visit ends, we say goodbye. Goodbye is how play closes gently.
2. There are many ways to say goodbye. A wave. A high five. "See you tomorrow!" I can pick my way.
3. Sometimes I am not ready for the fun to end. That pulls at my chest a little. The pull means the day was good.
4. I say goodbye to my friend.
5. After goodbye, the visit is over. But the friendship is not over. Goodbye is just a bookmark until next time.
