When I Forget My Homework
My homework is not in my backpack. Read it together, at your pace. Every page is written in your child's voice.
1. Sometimes I forget my homework at home. Everyone forgets things sometimes. Grown-ups forget things too.
2. When I notice, my stomach might drop. That is a worry feeling. A forgotten paper is a problem with a fix.
3. The best move is to tell my teacher.
4. Telling the truth quickly makes the problem small. Hiding it makes the worry grow.
5. I can make a plan so it is easier next time. I can pack my bag at night. I can put homework by the door.
6. By tomorrow, the forgotten homework is fixed and finished. The problem ends. One forgotten paper does not change what a good kid I am.
