Presenting to My Class

Sharing my work in front of everyone. Read it together, at your pace. Every page is written in your child's voice.

1. Sometimes I share my work with the class. This is called presenting.
2. Before I present, my heart might beat fast. My hands might feel jumpy. Many presenters feel this. It means my body is getting ready.
3. I can get my body ready too.

4. I can talk at my own speed. I can look at my paper, the wall, or the room. I can show I am sharing in my own way.
5. While I talk, my classmates listen in different ways. Some watch me. Some look down. Some doodle.
What might looking down mean?
  • They are listening while resting their gaze.
  • They are taking notes or thinking.
  • They are tired today.
  • We don't know yet โ€” and that's okay.
๐Ÿ’ก How someone looks does not tell us one single thing. I can keep going and finish my share.
6. When I say my last part, I am done. I can say "the end" or "thank you." Then I sit down. My presenting is finished, and I did it!
