Tonight there will be fireworks, big booms and bright lights.. Read it together, at your pace. Every page is written in your child's voice.
1. Some nights have fireworks. Fireworks are bright lights in the sky with big booms.
2. The booms can be very loud, and they can thump in my chest. The lights flash and crackle.
Deep booms I can feel, whistles and crackles, sudden bright colors in the dark.
3. The booms are far up in the sky. Loud does not mean close, and loud does not mean danger. The people running the show keep everyone far away and safe.
4. There are many ways to do fireworks night, and all of them count.
wear ear protection and watch up closewatch from far away where booms are smallerwatch through a window from insideask a grown-up to skip fireworks entirely
5. I can change my mind in the middle. If it gets too big, I can tell my grown-up "too loud" and we move farther away or go in. That is not quitting. That is knowing myself.
6. Fireworks shows end with one big burst of everything, and then the sky goes quiet and dark again. The night ends, my ears rest, and I chose my own way to be part of it.
In the app, your child can choose what happens next, rehearse lines out loud with Spark, and try different endings โ including hearing a kind "no" and being celebrated for respecting it. Parents can also create fully personalized stories.
